Summer Staff Applications

Before applying please read the position description and application information. The 1st half of the summer dates are May 15th or 17th to June 30th and 2nd half of summer are July 8th to August 5th.

Step 2: Make sure you talk to your references and send them the reference link.

Hints:
Use a work document to work on your Narrative questions and then copy and paste them into the Google Form application. This might be helpful if you lose your work on the application.

Interviews for Coordinators, January 15th
Interviews for all other positions will be the week of January 22nd to January 29th.
 
Requirements for all staff members

  1. Demonstrate a reformed Christian faith in attitude and action
  2. Willing to work in a Christian community making every effort to build relationships with every member on staff
  3. Free of convictions for child molestation or abuse, and chemical dependency
  4. High school diploma or equivalent and be one-year post-high school
  5. Willing to sign the Standard of Conduct Statement
  6. Be willing to affirm the tenets in the Standard of Conduct Statement
  7. Current physical (within last 9 months)
  8. We will provide first aid/CPR training
  9. Proof of a negative TB test
  10. Willing and able to work the entire period of time with no additional days off unless arrangements are made prior to employment
  11.  To guard the hearts of all of the staff with no exceptions by seeking to find and emphasis everyone's strengths without drawing attention to their faults

 Expectations

  1. To serve as a mature Christian example for the campers and fellow staff
  2. To think before acting and make wise decisions
  3. To participate 100% with encouragement and Christian sportsmanship in all activities
  4. To Participate 100% in chapel and all small group and devotional activities
  5.  To be on time to all activities
  6. To pay attention during staff meetings so individual instruction will be unnecessary
  7. To show attention and affection to all campers regardless of their actions
  8. To clean your own cabin and participate fully in the cleaning of the rest of the camp while paying special attention to cleaning up after yourself and showing respect to the work of others
  9. To be willing to do any task assigned by camp management

Dates of Employment

Staff training at Westminster Woods Camp

First Day for Coordinators, Photographer,  Office Intern & Cooks  May 15th
All other staff May 17th
 
Westminster Woods Camp and Clean-Up

Starts at the end of staff training and continues until June 30th.
 
Counselors will have a minimum of 24 hours with no campers each week.  During time off staff is required to be at the camp for a time of rest.
